Captions from YouTube
The extension retrieves the video’s available captions. When AI analysis is enabled, the transcript is sent to our backend and the configured AI provider for processing.
Temporary transcript text
Pending jobs retain caption text so they can be processed. That temporary payload is removed after completion, final failure or expiry.
Reusable results
We save video IDs, transcript hashes, analysis versions and sponsor timings. Account usage records keep track of your free allowance and access.
Account and access
Supabase handles sign-in, account identifiers, subscription status, the analysis queue and saved results.
AI processing
The current AI integration uses DeepInfra. Text sent for analysis is also subject to the provider’s data-handling terms.
Payments
Stripe processes checkout, billing details and subscription management. SponsorSkip does not store your complete card details.
On your device
Preferences, transcript searches and local corrections remain in Chrome storage until you clear the extension’s data.
Website analytics
If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures website visits, referring websites and clicks on beta, store and support links. We exclude authentication pages, URL queries and form contents. Advertising personalization is disabled. You can withdraw consent using “Cookie preferences”; your choice is saved on this device for six months.
